The Orchardist is a wild cider produced using Linda apples, a unique variety discovered by Harry McQuillan, Jamie’s father. We bring you this cider in tribute to Harry, the orchardist, who was the initial catalyst for the friendship and collaborative projects between Cell Division and Peckham’s Cidery.
Open fermented initially and then aged in ex-chardonnay barrels for 6 months with nothing but wild yeasts. The resulting cider is deceptively dry, fruity and wine-like, with floral elderflower notes.
Cell Division Brewery teamed up with Peckham’s Cider, fellow wild fermentationists and proper cider makers, to bring you this small batch creative project, The Orchardist.
