The People
Peckham’s cider took its first steps in 2004 with the planting of a few cider apple trees on what is now Peckham’s Cidery and Orchard.
Located in the beautiful hills of the Upper Moutere countryside, Peckham’s is owned and run by English couple, Lois and Jody Scott, having taken over from the original Peckham family in 2023.
While there has been change, one very important thing remains the same; a passion to create an unparalleled range of ciders with the new crop each year.
In the early days, the Peckham family dedicated themselves to grafting, training and harvesting heritage cider apple trees in a quest to create a diverse and unique cider orchard which continues to evolve.
Today, Lois and Jody, armed with years of experience, keep the breadth of creative momentum going. Together with the help of a small team, they continue to make multi-award-winning, traditional and innovative ciders with authentic character from more than 20 varieties of heritage apples.
Our mission is to explore what cider can be. Under the Tasman sunshine, the possibilities are endless.
